AGR Field Operations Launch PAUT System

AGR Field Operations in Cheshire has launched a new girth weld scanning system for pipelines. The TD Pipe-Runner was developed in collaboration with industry experts and provides a robust and versatile platform for overland pipeline ultrasonic inspection. The scanner accommodates pipe diameters from 6” to flat and its propulsion is fully automated but may also be manually propelled if necessary. The TD Pipe-Runner is an ideal tool for the zonal discrimination technique of weld evaluation using a combination of Phased Array and Time of Flight Diffraction. The ultrasonics are handled by AGR’s TD Focus-Scan using their improved Strip-Scan software.
